Yoga for Laborers

This class is intended to alleviate the pain of manual labor and welcomes anyone and everyone, but specifically those who think “yoga isn’t for me.” Yoga For Laborers is a class designed for those who would typically be averse to a standard yoga class. Create balance in the body and leave with informed movement principles that can guide the actions you take in your daily life. This is a slow process and progress will happen over time, it’s not going to be a quick fix but it will be a permanent one. Specifically targeting back pain/disk compression, knee pain, foot pain (plantar fasciitis), hand/wrist pain (carpal tunnel) and neck pain. “Your work should build you, not break you.”

Owen Costello is a 500hr Yoga Teacher, PFI Freediving Instructor and a local artist/musician. He began his formal yoga education in Thailand in 2018 where he completed his 200hr Teacher Training and completed the remainder online due to pandemic restrictions. He has struggled with pain, anxiety, depression and more and has found great help through his yoga practice. His teaching stems from his desire to share with people ways to life free of pain (or at least much less pain) without dependency on external means.
