Sacred Vibrations: Music for the Soul

🌺 Sacred Vibrations: Music For The Soul 🌺

Saturday, October 18, 2025 | 2 Shows: 6:30 PM & 8:00 PM
Around the Kava Bowl – Captain Cook, South Kona’s Premier Venue

✨ Join us for an unforgettable evening of soulful, heart-opening music with two of Hawai‘i’s most inspiring recording artists on island:

Maka – Voice of Aloha ‘Āina

Maka, a Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award finalist, is one of Hawai‘i Island’s most authentic and powerful voices. With her soulful vocals, distinctive ukulele style, and a genre-blending sound rooted in reggae, soul, and island rhythms, Maka’s music uplifts, inspires, and connects.

Born and raised in South Kona with family roots on Moloka‘i, she is more than a recording artist—Maka is a cultural practitioner, activist, and community leader whose songs embody aloha ‘āina, honoring Hawaiian culture, land, and resilience. Her album Simple Life brought radio favorites I Need A Lift and I and Aina Not For Sale, while Ua Mau (feat. Koaikapono) paid homage to Hawai‘i’s state motto. With her undeniable stage presence, she has shared the stage with leading Hawaiian artists and conscious music headliners like Mike Love, inspiring audiences locally and globally.

In 2025, Maka steps into a bold new era with her forthcoming album Revolution. Its first single, When Will We Be Free (feat. Petroglyph), calls for unity and transformation, while the title track Revolution amplifies her message that true change begins within—and that love is the ultimate solution. These powerful new releases solidify Maka’s place as one of Hawai‘i’s most inspiring cultural voices and a rising force in conscious music.

Avasa & Matthew Love – Music That Awakens the Heart

Avasa & Matthew Love are a husband-and-wife duo whose music blends soulful harmonies, devotional lyrics, and world rhythms into a transcendent sound that uplifts, unites, and heals. Seen on stages from Bhaktifest and Lightning in a Bottle to international festivals alongside Jason Mraz and The Lumineers, their concerts are more than music—they’re a celebration of joy, connection, and spiritual awakening.

Their journey began at the Gratitude Café in Los Angeles, where love, music, and conscious living came together. With Avasa’s enchanting voice, harmonium, and djembe rooted in her West African heritage, and Matthew’s rich, resonant vocals and guitar style often compared to Cat Stevens and Johnny Cash, they’ve created a sound that is timeless, heart-opening, and deeply transformative.

Their debut album Love is King, Love is Queen introduced uplifting anthems like Sister, Brother and Lovin’ Yourself, while their White Swan Records release The Road solidified their reputation with spiritually charged songs like Mama Come Save My Soul and Lord Lifts Me Up. Today, their music reaches global audiences with new singles like I’m In You / Sat Nam, Oneness, and Light Is In The Air.
Now based in Honoka‘a on their family’s 3-acre homestead, Avasa & Matthew continue to share their music worldwide—reminding us of music’s power to heal, awaken, and connect us all.
